Q: Why should I use a service like ResumeAdvance?
A: ResumeAdvance helps you save time and be more effective in your job search. Our staff has done the homework for you, by finding out which recruiters are hiring in your industry and location. Q: Is this a one-time fee or will I be charged more than once?
A: ResumeAdvance sends out your resume to each of the recruiters you selected one time, within 24 hours of being approved. The only reason you would be charged again is if you make another purchase.
Q: Who are these recruiters that are listed?
A: ResumeAdvance lists over 6,000 recruiters and employment agencies throughout North America. These recruiters have been hired by various employers to find candidates that meet their requirements. Employment agencies do not charge a fee to jobseekers. The agencies receive payment from the employer who has contracted with them.
Q: When will my resume be sent out?
A: Once we have approved your resume (to make sure that it was attached properly and that there are no obvious errors) your resume is then queued for sending. Emails are sent out in the order in which they have been received and approved, but generally within 24 to 48 hours after you make your purchase.
Q: What format should I use for my resume?
A: MS Word is the most popular, but any text-editable resume works.
Q: Will you send me a copy of the list of recruiters that my resume has been sent to?
A: No. During the application process, when you come to the page that lists all the recruiters, it might be a good idea to copy these recruiters into a Word file, to which you can refer back at a later date.
Q: Will I get confirmation from you that my email has been sent?
A: Once your resume has been sent, a copy of your covering email with resume attached will be sent to you as a confirmation that it is being sent to the recruiters you selected.

A: There are a few reasons this might happen, including:
Q: How do I know it is safe to use my credit card?
A: We use Moneris Solutions (A Bank of Montreal - Royal Bank joint venture) to process our transactions. The highest security and privacy levels are in place with this system. Q: Will my resume only be sent to the employment agencies I select or will other sales, marketing or other firms get a hold of it? A: Your resume is sent only to those recruiters whom you have selected. Also, we screen which companies are added to our list of recruiters. Every company gets “checked out” before they are put on the list. And we never sell or distribute our lists to anyone! Q: Why do some recruitment companies show up more than once on my targeted list?
A: When a recruitment company’s name shows up more than once it means that there are multiple recruiters and/or multiple locations for that company, each with a separate email address, that wish to receive resumes.
Q: Can I make adjustments to my resume once it has been sent? A: No. The time to make adjustments to your resume is before it is sent out.
Q: I can’t log into my account. Why not? A: That’s because it is not necessary for you to create an account to use the ResumeAdvance service! All recruiter responses get sent directly to your email; easier for you and one less password to remember! Only Recruiters create an account with ResumeAdvance; this enables them to update industry, email and location information.
Q: I have two different resumes that I would like to send to two different targeted recruiters. Can I do that? And if yes, how? A: Yes, there are instances in which you may want to do just that. To do so, you will simply go through the process two separate times, making your different selections, and yes, paying twice! (Suggestion: you may want to de-select any recruiters that were targeted in the first batch of recruiters)
